Fullscreen Mode Aspect Ratio

Setting the Fullscreen Mode Aspect Ratio (under Window settings, in the Config menu) to Fixed will ensure that the game displays accurately in full-screen mode even on screens with different aspect ratios.

Scaling Modes

Setting the Display Mode to Fullscreen, or resizing the game window, will by default employ a process called "Bicubic Scaling."
In most environments, this will work best, but if rendering becomes unstable or the game slows down, you can set Scaling (under Window settings, in the Config menu) to "Standard" instead. This will reduce the image quality, but may resolve any difficulties.

Restoring Default Window Settings

After changing Window settings in the Config menu, it is possible that the game does not launch or run properly. If this occurs, please check that the game is closed (via the Taskbar or Task Manager), then delete the "WindowSetting.sav" file under "SaveData" in the game's save directory. This will restore the game's default settings.

Then, please restart Windows and run the game again.

Save Data Location

General Troubleshooting

Before running the game, please ensure that there are no non-ASCII characters anywhere in the full path to its directory.

Please check that the game has write permissions in its own directory, to ensure that save data to be properly recorded.

As this game originated in Japan, if you encounter any difficulties running it, please try changing your Language for Non-Unicode Programs (system locale) to "Japanese (Japan)". This can be accomplished with the following steps.

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Click on "Clock and Region".
  3. Click on "Region".
  4. Select the "Administrative" tab.
  5. Click on "Change system locale" and select Japanese in the drop-down menu.
  6. Save and apply all changes. This will require a system reboot.

After you are done playing the game, you can restore your system locale by the same method if you wish.
